The IC chip embedded in the IC National Veterans Registration Card and IC Driver’s License stores the card serial number, password set upon receipt, and encryption value, and no personal information is stored at all.
How do I obtain an IC National Veterans Registration Card and IC Driver’s License?
You can apply for the IC National Veterans Registration Certificate in person at the Veterans Affairs (branch) office having jurisdiction over your address. Apply online through the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs My Honor website (pmp.mpva.go.kr) or the Government 24 website (www.gov.kr). You can do it. However, there are about 663,000 people eligible for replacement issuance, and it is scheduled to be issued sequentially by age from August 2023 to December 2024. For detailed replacement issuance timing and procedures, please refer to the notice (www.mobileid.go.kr). Please note.
– Replacement issuance period: Issued sequentially by age starting from August 2023. Visit the Veterans Affairs (branch) office with jurisdiction over your address by applying the 10-subject system to the last digit of your date of birth.
※ If your birth date is on the 7th, you can visit on the 7th, 17th, or 27th of the replacement period (excluding public holidays)
– What you need: Bring your existing veterans ID card (need to be returned), 1 photo (3.5×4.5cm) taken within the last 6 months, and 1 of your resident registration card, driver’s license, or passport.
Do I have to visit every time I get my mobile ID issued?
When issuing a mobile national veterans registration card for the first time, you must visit the Veterans Affairs (branch) office with jurisdiction over your address and obtain an IC national veterans registration certificate. However, when reissuing the mobile National Veterans Registration Card in the future, you can conveniently reissue the mobile National Veterans Registration Certificate anytime, anywhere without having to revisit the Veterans Affairs (branch) office in your jurisdiction.
What is the cost of issuing IC National Veterans Registration Card and IC Driver’s License?
IC National Veterans Registration Certificate is issued only to those eligible for national veterans. Please note that there is no separate issuance fee.
