Today we will learn about private taxi transfer training. Hands-on training is a training course that drivers who drive private taxis go through. It provides training on driving tests, traffic laws, theoretical training on safe driving, and basic vehicle repair and maintenance.
You must complete the training to be qualified to drive a private taxi. There is also a training course for those with experience in private taxi transfer training. In the experienced training course, you can receive qualifications after two days of training.
How to apply for private taxi transfer training
The implementing agency is the Korea Transportation Safety Authority, and training is conducted online.

Application qualifications
A person who holds a taxi driving qualification among the driving duties in the passenger transport business pursuant to Article 24 of the [Passenger Transport Business Act]
A person with more than 5 years of accident-free driving experience from the (scheduled) date of application for personal taxi license transfer or transfer approval.
*The recognition period for accident-free driving history varies depending on the local government, so it is necessary to inquire with the observing office in advance. If there is an accident history on the date of application for training, please make sure to check in advance before applying for training.

Education target
A person who inherits a private taxi transportation business license pursuant to Article 19 (3) of the [Enforcement Rules of the Passenger Transport Business Act] within 3 years from the date of completion of training and intends to directly succeed to the business.
A person who intends to transfer a private taxi transportation business license pursuant to Article 19, Paragraph 9 of the Enforcement Rules within 3 years from the date of completion of training.
A person who intends to become a designated driver for a private taxi transportation business in accordance with Article 21 (3) of the Enforcement Rules within 3 years from the date of completion of training.

Yangsu Education Completion Requirements
It consists of 20 points written and 80 points practical, and the practical test consists of three parts: Functional Evaluation 1 (20 points), Functional Evaluation 2 (30 points), and Driving Evaluation (30 points). If you complete theory and practical training and score 60 points or higher in the comprehensive evaluation, you will pass.
