1. First, you need to purchase a SIM card, but if you apply online, you can receive it by courier delivery. I didn’t want to wait, so I bought a SIM card at a nearby GS25 convenience store. 2. Search for “gs25 plan” on Naver.

3. On the main screen, select the purchase method, subscription type, and rate plan.
I chose the SIM purchase, number transfer, and 26,900 won rate plan at the gs25 store.

4. If you look at the back of the purchased SIM, there is SIM model code and SIM serial number information.
After entering the information in the SIM card, click the self-opening application button.
Self-opening is possible from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. (Excluding Sundays and public holidays)

5. Fill out the self-opening application.
6. Fill out personal information in the self-opening application form.
7. Perform the identity verification process.

For the type of mobile phone to use, you can select the type of carrier you have been using.
I chose “LG U+ Fragrance” because I used LG U+.
You can enter one mobile phone number for unlimited calls. However, only LG U+ network users can use it.

10. Perform text verification according to the procedure below to proceed with number portability.

11. As the last step, proceed with “Request to open”.
The activation process takes about 3 minutes.
12. When the opening process is complete, insert the purchased SIM into the mobile phone to be used and reboot the phone.
