How do I complete the Smart Civil Defense Education?
Civil defense training is a 4-hour group (mobilization) training for members in their 1st and 2nd years. Please visit the location and time indicated on the notice and attend. You can check the electronic notice for non-attendance at the Smart Civil Defense Electronic Notification Center https://www.cdec.or.kr/.
Members in their 3rd and 4th years can receive 2 hours of video training on a PC, smartphone, or tablet.
Members in their 5th year or more can receive 1 hour of video training on a PC, smartphone, or tablet.
You can watch it directly on the website without a separate app, and you can complete it by searching for ‘Smart Civil Defense Training’ in the portal site search bar and entering. After watching the video, if you get 70 points or more on the evaluation questions that appear, a completion certificate screen will appear. When the completion certificate screen appears, you will be considered to have completed the training and will be processed as attending this year’s civil defense training. We recommend that you capture or save the completion certificate.
What if my evaluation score is less than 70 points?
If you do not get 70 points, the wrong questions will be retaken, and if you get 70 points or more, you will automatically complete the course.
Can I watch the training video in sections instead of watching it all at once?
Yes. It is only possible during the training period (not possible when a new training period starts). The videos are divided by subject, and you must click after finishing one subject to move on to the next subject. If you stop playing, the video will start playing from that episode the next time you log in. The total training time is about 2 hours for civil defense members with 3-4 years of service, and about 1 hour for civil defense members with 5 years or more of service.
Can I watch the training on weekends or early morning (late at night)?
Civil defense members with 3 years or more of service can watch it 24 hours a day during the training period through online training. On the last day of training, please log in before 10:00 and complete it before midnight.
Can’t I take the smart civil defense training in areas not listed here (other areas)?
Each local government has a different training site. If you are unable to log in to the Smart Civil Defense Education site, please contact the civil defense officer at the local town/village center for guidance.
