2. Qualifications and number of recruits ㅇ 5,000 general citizens aged 19 or older ※ However, you must be able to print and submit performance verification documents via smartphone or website

5. Activity details  ㅇ Report violations of major motorcycle laws through the Safety Report Box (Road Traffic Act) or the National Report Box (Automobile Management Act) and submit the disposition results to email (singo20@kotsa.or.kr)
   ※ In 2024, Road Traffic Act violations will be reported through the ‘Safety Report Box’ of the Korea Transportation Safety Authority’s public interest report system (Smart National Report reporting function scheduled to be discontinued in March 2024, Smart National Report reporting performance not recognized)

  ① Report violations of the Road Traffic Act (Safety Report Box) – Violation of traffic signals (Article 5) → Violation of major traffic laws – Crossing the center line (Article 13, Paragraph 3) → Violation of major traffic laws – Violation of pedestrian protection obligation (Article 27, Paragraphs 1, 2, 3) – Driving on sidewalks (Article 13, Paragraph 1) – Failure to wear a helmet (Article 50, Paragraph 3) – Violation of U-turns, crossing, and backing up (Article 18)
② Reporting violations of the Motor Vehicle Management Act (National Petition) – Covering and damaging license plates (Article 10, Paragraph 5)

6. Reward information ㅇ Reward payment limit: Maximum 20 cases per month
ㅇ Monthly reward amount ① Basic reward under the Road Traffic Act: KRW 4,000 per case (result of acceptance (fine/penalty) or partial acceptance (warning)) ② Serious traffic laws (violation of traffic signals, crossing the center line) Reward: Double the basic reward (KRW 8,000 per case) ※ All disciplinary results must include relevant legal provisions ③ Motor Vehicle Management Act (covering and damaging license plates) Reward: 6,000 won per case (administrative guidance, fines, investigation transfer, etc.) ※ Guidance and warning dispositions that occur during the guidance period of the National Police Agency due to changes in laws and regulations and traffic policies are excluded from the reward
  ㅇ Monthly reward payment period: Payment at the beginning of the following month after performance submission
  ㅇ Quarterly excellent activity reward (separate payment from monthly reward)  – Reward amount: 200,000 won (100 people, duplication is possible)  – Selection method: Top ranking nationwide in quarterly warning or above disposition performance – Payment period: 2nd quarter (March to June performance): mid-October, 3rd quarter (July to September performance): end of December, 4th quarter (October to December performance): mid-April 2025
 

7. How to submit performance  ㅇ What: Data containing the entire report disposition results (submit a photo or PDF file in the form of a compressed file)   ※ Please check the recruitment information poster for detailed instructions on how to print performance data by violation law. ㅇ Until when: By the 15th of every month

   ※ Deadline for recognition of performance: Submit within the performance submission period and objection period within 3 months from the report date (cannot be submitted after 2 months)
    (Example) Periods for submitting performance reported in May: June performance submission period (June 1-June 15), June objection period (June 3-4), July and August performance submission period (July and August 1-July 15), July and August objection period (July and August 3-4)   ※ Detailed schedules are announced on Naver Band at the end of each month and are subject to change (Band registration address will be notified separately by text message)  
    ※ Information on criteria for restrictions on public interest reporting activities ① If the reporting group violates traffic laws while filming others violating them ② In the case of continuously filing malicious complaints such as requesting changes to the results of public interest reports for the purpose of receiving a reward, rather than simply asking questions about the results of the report ③ In the case of using abusive language, swearing, vulgar language, disparaging (mocking, threatening), or causing sexual shame to police officers, public officials, or corporation officials during the report process ④ In the case of continuously requesting changes to previously announced policies such as increased incentives or reward payment periods ⑤ In the case of registering under a name other than your own or reporting the same video (photo) reported by another person for the purpose of receiving duplicate rewards

※ Other information – The authority to process public interest reports lies with the National Police Agency and local government officials, and please be aware that warnings may be issued for minor violations that do not pose a risk to traffic. – If you are judged to have suffered or are likely to suffer harm due to the public interest report process, you may report to the police and request protection, and if you have suffered or are likely to suffer serious harm to your life or body due to the public interest report pursuant to Article 13 of the Public Interest Reporter Protection Act, you may request personal protection measures from the National Human Rights Commission of Korea.
