These days, it usually costs about 20,000 to 25,000 won to take an ID photo or passport photo, but I would like to introduce you to an inexpensive photo studio that can take your ID photo or passport photo for less than 10,000 won.

There is no separate parking lot, so if you bring a car, you can park at the Gangdong-gu Office parking lot, which is 200 meters away.
(Parking fee is free for 30 minutes/1,500 won for 1 hour, and if you receive a parking stamp from the Civil Service Passport Department when issuing a passport, 1 hour is free)
If you turn your back to Gangdong-gu Office and walk up the ramp on the right, you will see a sign for Baekdabang next to the small crosswalk.

As the name suggests, this is a place where you can take a passport photo for 5,000 won.
Enter the entrance on the right side of the building and go up the stairs. You will see the photo studio entrance on your left.
When you enter the entrance, you must first write your name on the waiting list.
I went around 3 o’clock and there were 16 people in front of me and I waited for about an hour. I think it would be about 4-5 minutes per person.
Please note that even though the business hours are until 4:30 PM, there is a lot of waiting so the waiting line closes around 3:00!
If you want to wait less, I recommend going at opening time or just before 1pm :)
Because it is a cost-effective photo studio, the interior is rather simple, but there are hangers, a dressing table, and two sofas for people waiting.
I take pictures from the left side of the bookshelf that serves as a partition, but the disadvantage is that people waiting on the right side can look at me taking pictures. Since the price is cheap, we should take this into account, right?
Unedited passport photo costs 5,000 won
A retouched passport photo costs 7,000 won.
Banmyeongcard photo costs 8,000 won
Package of 2 passports + 6 business cards is 10,000 won.
I took a picture of the price tag and was surprised at how cheap it was!!
My child needed a photo of his/her business card to send to kindergarten, so I paid 10,000 won for the economical package (2 passports + 6 business cards).
While looking for a passport photo studio, I called a few local photo studios, and if you take a photo with your passport and half-name box, it costs 5,000 won or 10,000 won extra from the basic price. In total, it cost about 25,000 to 30,000 won, so 10,000 won is less than half the market price!!
Tips for taking your child’s passport photo!
Eyebrows are fully visible
White/light colored clothes
Clothing that is darker than your skin tone
Striped/checkered clothes
A round tee is recommended rather than a neck collar/shirt.
If you have bangs, it would be a good idea to trim them in advance so that they do not cover your eyebrows.
Since the background of your passport photo is white, avoid wearing white/light-colored clothes, and choose dark-colored clothes that are darker than your skin tone to make your skin look brighter and brighter.^^
Striped or checkered clothes are not recommended because, depending on your posture when sitting, wrinkles may form on the clothes and you may not look neat.
I checked the photos taken on the monitor in the photo studio. This is my first time taking a child’s passport photo, and I think it came out well with the correct posture.
When I wore a dark-colored round tee, my skin tone came out brightly. Children, in particular, may have short necks, so I recommend a round t-shirt that exposes the neck to a moderate degree.

I found this place after searching for an inexpensive photo studio in Songpa Gang-dong, and it is about 50 meters away from Passport Photo 5000. If there is too much of a wait for passport photo 5000 and you think your child will have a hard time waiting, you may want to consider the Super Power Photo Studio.
If you go to the right of Compose Coffee, it is located on the second floor.

Middle and high school students and younger: 10,000 won
Passport photos for middle school and high school students and younger cost 10,000 won, so this is pretty cheap, right? I think you can get a passport + half name card photo taken for the same price, so it would be a good idea to contact the photo studio for more details.^^
