hello! What method do you use when moving large files? You can also use email me or airdrop, but these operations can be cumbersome when moving large files. Today, I will tell you about how to use Google Drive, which can be useful in this case.

Cloud Storage for Work/Home – Google Drive
Safely store and share photos, videos, files and more in the cloud. 15 GB of free storage per Google Account.

Google Drive is a cloud service platform provided by Google, and provides up to 15GB of data by default. iCloud, another popular cloud service platform other than Google Drive, only supports basic data up to 5GB, and considering that most of its features are for Apple iOS, Google Drive is a better option in this regard.
If you go to the link above and link your Google account, Google Drive will appear as shown below. I use it a lot to store a few documents and videos for uploading to YouTube. If you look at the bottom left, you can see the current drive used capacity compared to the total usable capacity. It says I’m using 5.94GB on my drive right now.

Google Drive is the successor to the original Google Office, and includes features such as Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Forms, Google Drawings, Google Sites, and more, making it perfect for working on team projects or sharing documents. It can also be linked with Google Photos.
In the window above, click the ‘Computer’ button in the left column to enable file synchronization. Synchronization is the process of downloading files from Google Cloud and uploading files from your computer’s hard drive to the cloud. Once synchronization with your PC is complete, the files on your computer and the files in the cloud will match. If you edit, delete, or move a file in one location, it will do the same in the other location. This way your synced files will always be up to date and you can access them from any device. I haven’t used it in earnest yet, but it seems like a useful feature, so I’d like to refer to it.
Under the Computer button is the Shared Documents box, where you can check documents or videos on Google Office that others have shared with you.
Google One capacity = Google Drive + Gmail + Google Photos

One problem is that Google Drive is integrated into Google One, along with Gmail and Google Photos. The default 15GB capacity is actually provided by Google One, but if you look at the picture above, Gmail and Google Photos are currently taking up some capacity, so it is difficult to completely use 15GB of Google Drive alone.
Of course, Google One’s built-in capacity of 15GB can be a little more comfortable than iCloud’s 5GB built-in data. However, there comes a point where even 15GB is not enough if you want to use the drive in earnest. In this case, you can increase the drive capacity through a Google One subscription.

You can apply for a Google Drive capacity upgrade through Google One, and there are basic, standard, and premium plans. Basic is 100GB, Standard is 200GB, and Premium is supported up to 2TB.
price is
Basic – $1.99 per month or $19.99 per year (save 16%)
Standard – $29.99 per month or $29.99 per year (save 16%)
Premium – $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year (save 17%).
In general, it is more economical to pay on an annual basis rather than monthly payment, and for Standard and Premium, a certain amount is refunded as store credit when purchasing from the Google Store. Premium also offers a VPN for Android phones, and all Google One subscriptions include consulting with an expert, file sharing with up to 5 people, and other extras.
It depends on the person and the purpose of use, but personally, up to 2TB is too large and 200GB feels appropriate. Also, sometimes there are events where you can subscribe for the first month at a reduced price, so it would be nice to refer to it 🙂
