To create installation media you will need:
A PC with a stable internet connection. Download time depends on your internet connection.
USB flash drive, external hard drive, or DVD. A blank USB flash drive or external hard drive with at least 8GB of space, or a blank DVD (and DVD burner). All content will be deleted, so we recommend using a blank USB or blank DVD. When burning a DVD from an ISO file, you will need to use dual layer (DL) DVD media if the disc image file is too large.
Product key. 25-character product key (not required for digital license). If you need help finding your product key, see Find your Windows product key.
After creating installation media, you can reset or reinstall Windows. For more information, see Recovery options in Windows.
