It can be confusing because there is a time difference between the United States and Korea, and things are slightly different within the United States.

The U.S. stock market operates based on Eastern Time (New York), from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. local time, and from 23:30 to 06:00 Korean time.
The day before Independence Day (2024.07.03), the day after Thanksgiving (2024.11.29), and the day before Christmas (2024.12.24) at 13:00 local time.

US stock opening hours
U.S. stock opening hours are in New York, where the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) is located, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern time. Regular market opens from 9:30 AM to 4 PM Eastern Time (EST), and opens from 11:30 PM to 6 AM the next day, Korean time.
Premarket and aftermarket
There is a Pre Market, which is a time for trading before the regular market opens, and an After Market, which is a time for trading after the regular market closes.
Pre-market is an after-hours trading period of 5 hours and 30 minutes before the regular market begins and is a time for foreign investors from other countries.
The aftermarket runs for 4 hours after the regular market closes and is for Americans only.

Current daytime operating hours are outside of daylight saving time, and will be advanced by one hour when daylight saving time is applied.
2024 U.S. daylight saving time application date
The United States is one of the countries that applies daylight saving time. The 2024 U.S. Daylight Savings Time effective date is from 2:00 AM on Sunday, March 10, 2024 to 2:00 AM on Sunday, November 3, 2024.
