After pilot sales from January to May 2024, we plan to implement it from the second half of the year, reflecting feedback from citizens. Currently, it is not available in Incheon and Gyeonggi-do, but it is expected to be available in some areas once the route to Gyeonggi-do is confirmed, starting with the Seoul Dong-bound Bus.
What is the Climate Companion Card?
The Climate Companion Card is a public transportation policy that responds to climate crises such as global warming by providing unlimited use of public transportation such as subways, buses, and public bicycles for 65,000 won per month.
This is also a transportation policy aimed at relieving the burden felt by households due to the ever-increasing transportation fares. The introduction of the Climate Companion Card is expected to reduce greenhouse gases by 32,000 tons per year.
How to apply for the Climate Companion Card
In order to increase the convenience of users, the Climate Companion Card application will be launched so that users can purchase a 3,000 won physical transportation card at a convenience store or supermarket and then recharge it with 65,000 won.

How to use the Climate Companion Card
The Climate Companion Card can be used as both a physical card and a smartphone app. Using a physical card involves tagging a public transportation card terminal, and when using a smartphone app, you can register the card in the app and then tag your smartphone in the same way.
This unlimited transportation card is available for 65,000 won per month and allows you to use all transportation methods in downtown Seoul, including subways, city buses, village buses, Ttareungi, and Seoul River Bus.
※ However, it is possible to board in Seoul and get off in other areas such as Gyeonggi and Incheon, but it is not possible to board in areas other than Seoul, such as Gyeonggi and Incheon, and then get off in Seoul. The Shinbundang Line, which has a different basic fare, is also not applicable. do.

You can use all public transportation unlimitedly, including subway lines 1 to 9, Gyeongui-Jungang Line, Bundang Line, Gyeongchun Line, Uisinseol Line, and Sillim Line (excluding the Shinbundang Line).

You can use both Seoul city buses and village buses, but you cannot use buses from other regions such as Gyeonggi and Incheon or metropolitan buses with different basic fares, even within the Seoul area. By searching each bus route number, you can check the corresponding license area.
Bicycle (Ttareungi)
You can use the 1-hour ticket for unlimited use.
