What is hometown love?
This system, also called the hometown love donation system, is a system in which individuals donate a certain amount to a local government and use it for the welfare of the local government’s residents. Donors can donate to all local governments except the place of residence on their resident registration, and can donate up to 5 million won per year.
Local residents, corporations, or interested parties on their registered records cannot make donations to the local government, and they cannot make donations under someone else’s name or an assumed name. It is done in your name, and you can only receive donation benefits in your name.
What are the benefits of donating?

Donation benefits are broadly divided into two categories.
1. Tax deduction
Depending on the amount you donate, you may be able to receive a tax deduction at year-end tax settlement. For amounts less than 100,000 won, the tax credit rate is 100%, and for amounts exceeding 100,000 won, a 16.5% tax credit is available.
2. Gift gift benefits
You can receive a return gift from the local government up to 30% of the donated amount. You can use the points registered in the Hometown Love e-um system to select and receive a gift in return from the local government you donated to.
How to apply for hometown love eum donation

There are two ways to apply for the hometown love e-um system: online and offline.
1. Online method
Hometown Love eum website > Log in > Select the local government you wish to donate to > Enter donation amount > Confirm return gift and pay donation > Complete payment > Select return gift
Donations cannot be made at the address where the donor currently resides, but donations can be made to all other local governments regardless of region. Donations can be made starting from 100 won, and the types of gifts vary depending on the local government.
2. Offline method
If you have difficulty applying through a PC or mobile phone, you can visit the nearest Nonghyup Bank near your home to make a donation or apply for a gift. Since the counselor provides direct consultation and guidance on how to apply, if you have difficulty applying online, we recommend that you visit the nearest Nonghyup Bank and apply while receiving consultation.
Bank business hours are from 9:00 am to 16:00 pm. If you visit the bank and tell them that you would like to apply for the hometown love donation system, you will receive guidance.
Return gift information
Return gifts can be selected in the form of tourism services, agricultural and livestock products, marine products, processed foods, daily necessities, and local gift certificates, and the format of the return gift varies depending on the local government.
You can check the delivery status of your gift at the gift shop where you purchased it. Delivery takes approximately 2-3 days. If the gift provider’s information is not available or there is a problem with delivery, please contact the local government for the gift and the person in charge of the gift will be able to provide guidance.
You can only select gifts provided by the region where you donated. If you select the gift after checking the quantity and composition, it will be delivered to the address you provided.

● Online donations are available from 7:00 AM to 23:30 every day.
● Hometown Love eum counseling is available at the counseling center at 1522-2431 and is open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on weekdays.
● Some areas in Seoul are currently selecting gift gifts, and gifts can be received sequentially after registration at the local government.
● Hometown love donations can be made to all local governments other than the place of residence according to resident registration.
● Foreigners are currently unable to donate to hometown love, but this will be changed to be possible through a future update.
