The issuance method is very simple.
Go to the Kakao Account website.
Go to the Preferences (Manage My Account) webpage.
Go to the [Account Security] page and select 2-Step Verification.
Enter your password. (Present) 카카오메일 확인
Get the app password issued. (Can be copied)
Enter the issued password into Outlook.
At first, I thought that the settings related to the IMAP server were wrong, so I went to the Kakao website and checked the settings one by one.
But Outlook is smart enough to set all of these things automatically.
What was important was the password. JFactory
I checked all the settings above and there was nothing wrong.
If you have set up two-step verification, please use the procedure below to obtain an app-specific login password.
1. Access the Kakao Customer Center website.
Then, select the [Kakao Account Information Management] menu from the bottom menu.
2. On the Information Protection tab, to the right of [2-Step Verification], click the > mark.
Then, a menu appears where you can change the settings or get an app password.
3. After entering the name of the app, click the [Generate] button to receive a new password.
Enter a name for the app. Not just Outlook, but other programs as well. (Microsoft mail program or Apple)
4. Enter the copied password as it is.
The important thing is that you must enter the same SMTP password as well.
You can set the SMTP user name appropriately. It’s not something that requires an absolute value.
5. Setup is complete.
It proceeds to the next step normally and starts to load the mail list saved on the web.
You can send and receive mail in Outlook without a dedicated client.
I hope it was of some help.
