How to find the time of the first train and the last train of the Seoul subway
I usually use public transportation unless absolutely necessary. Among them, I tend to take the subway with relatively accurate time. I would like to tell you how to see the time of the first train and the last train of the Seoul subway.
I tend to go early for the first train of the subway in Seoul when I go to school and study early during the exam period when I am a college student, or when I have a lot of work at work and I can’t work overtime inevitably. At this time, I think I checked the first train time and moved. I will tell you how to check the subway operation time with the Kakao Subway app.
When you access the Kakao Subway app, you will see the Seoul subway map by default. You can check the route by searching for the station corresponding to the starting point and destination.
I’ll take a look at the first train time of the Seoul subway at the entrance of Taereung. Since the departure time of each subway station is different, it is most accurate to check each station. In particular, since the first train time is literally the first train, there is no interval adjustment, so it can be seen as accurate.
Checking the first trains on weekdays and holidays at the entrance to Taereung, the train bound for Seokgye departs at 5:33 for Eungam and the one for Bonghwasan departs at 5:40. The first train time of the Seoul subway departing from Taereung is the same regardless of weekdays and holidays, but if you look a little closer, you can see that the subway operation time interval is different between weekdays and holidays.
This time, I checked the last train time of the Seoul subway at Taereung Station. The last train time is different between weekdays and holidays (Saturdays and holidays). On weekdays, the last train from Taereung to Anam is at 12:48 pm, but on holidays, the last train to Anam is at 11:54 pm. There is a difference of about an hour, so the subway stops earlier on weekends than on weekdays.
In the direction of Hwarangdae, the last train to Bonghwasan is at 12:56 on weekdays, but it is 12:03 on holidays. I remember going home earlier on the weekends even when we were dating because the time of the last subway train in Seoul differed greatly between weekdays and holidays.
This time, I will tell you how to check the Seoul subway first train time by checking the route in advance. What time would it be if I took the first train from Incheon Airport to Taereung? I’m trying to calculate this. You can find out in advance when planning whether to get off the plane at dawn and take the airport bus or the subway.
If you select Departure and select ‘Ride the first train’, you can automatically check the departure time and arrival time according to the first train time at the station.
The first train from Incheon Airport to Seoul Station is at 5:25, and it tells you to transfer at Gongdeok Station to Taereung and move to the line that gets off at 7:03.
This time, on the contrary, I chose to take the last train on the same route to find a way to get to Taereung by the last train from Incheon Airport.
It says that if you take the subway at 10:23 from Incheon Airport, you can get off at Taereung at 12:02. In this way, you can check the time of the first and last trains of the Seoul subway for each subway station, or you can check according to the course you want to move.
I will introduce two more simple ways to check the subway app. Did you know that Korea’s subways are not only available in Seoul, but also in Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, and Daejeon? When you install the app, the Seoul subway map is displayed by default, but it is good to change it to the local subway through regional settings.
I also went to Daejeon a while ago and used the Daejeon subway, but it was convenient when I moved by setting the area.

One more thing, you can check the express route map with the subway app. In the case of the subway in the metropolitan area, there are many express trains, so it is convenient to collect and check the route map.
Only express routes can be checked, so make good use of it. For example, I used the express route map of Line 1 to move from Bucheon Station to Yongsan Station, and from Yongsan Station to Seokgye Station. It is much faster to take the express train than to go from Bucheon Station to Seokgye Station all at once!!
